Is a Baby Monitor a “must have?’ No, but it is one of those items that once you get one you’ll probably wonder how you ever lived without it. But with so many models and features to choose from it can be a little overwhelming.
There are essentially two basic types of Baby Monitors: Audio and Audio/Video. Both work by transmitting radio frequency from the base unit near the baby to the portable unit near you. These frequencies however may be interfered with from common household items like florescent lights, appliances, cordless phones, cellular phones and even your wireless home network.
